Teaching
The main focus of my undergraduate courses will be on the traditional aspects of the field, which would include most of the concepts emerging from molecular methods. The object of these courses would be to encourage students not only to understand the assemblage of facts and formulas but also to spark their interests in applying methods to evolutionary questions. As for graduate instruction, the courses are on the more advanced aspects of evolutionary genetics. This will lead students to the more empirical, rather than fundamental, areas familiarize them with some selected topics, such as speciation or genome evolution.
