The research goal is to unrevel the cellular responses to ionizing radiation and mechanisms of damage repair, especially the repair of DNA double-strand breaks. At present, we are concentrated on studies of mechanistic aspects DNA end binding activity of Ku protein, and identification of in vivo substrates of DNA-dependent protein kinase. The results will help us to understand the repair mechanism and the signal transduction pathway of radiation stressed cells.
